Jewellery in School
Just a reminder that children should not wear jewellery for school except small stud earrings and a watch. If your child wears earrings they must either be able to remove them for PE or not wear them for school. As stated in the national guidance below we will no longer be taping earrings for PE. Please bear this in mind when getting your child’s ears pierced.
Ian Roberts Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Education Advisor of Cambridgeshire County Council has stated –
“The national guidance is that jewellery should not be worn for PE, and where it is not possible to remove the item participants should remain in the lesson, participating in low risk activities but where the potential risk is raised, alternative activities may be pursued.
Cambridgeshire County Council advises strongly against the taping of ear-rings because there have been anecdotal cases of young people being injured and the tape has offered no protection.”
We have a mid-day suppervisor vacancy available within school.
For more information please visit our vacancies page or contact Mrs Boyce in the school office.
