EYFS and Key Stage 1 Science Day
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have enjoyed a day of science activities during science week! These included 'Escape From the Ice' and 'Fingerprint Frenzy'. During the day, we learnt some amazing vocabulary linked to states of matter and investigated how we could free the penguin from the ice! Our next challenge was to find another person in the room with exactly the same fingerprint as ourselves. When this proved impossible, we discussed how each person's fingerprint is unique to them.
We carried on our learning by focusing on the Oceans. We went on a deep sea diving adventure and marvelled at the beauty that lies in the underwater kingdom. However, we noticed animals and fish were playing with plastic bottles, plastic bags and other items that are polluting the Oceans. We decided to create some posters to share what is happening in our world with others. We were very passionate about what is happening.
