2019-2020 Autumn: Ancient Egyptians
This term we will be learning about the ancient civilisation of Egypt. In this we will be looking at the Great Pyramids of Giza, The Valley of the Kings tombs and all the wonders they behold. We will look at the different uses of the River Nile and where this is within Egypt. We will also be looking at the Ancient Egyptians beliefs of the afterlife and Gods. Within this we will become very creative and make a death mask of Tutankhamun and create a mummy with a sarcophagus.

So far in September, Octavia class have been busy, not only in school however at home too! Children have made Pyramids, Camels, Scarab beetles and created some wonderful artwork about the sunset behind the Pyramids. Children have also created pyramids, Sarcophagus's and many other creative things at home. Children are really enjoying their topic so far this term.
