2019-2020 Summer: Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum!
Summer Term Week 1
Take a look at the wonderful storyboards which have been created to sequence the first chapter of Jack and the Beanstalk.
We have also been busy creating patterns, labelling parts of the body and practising our number knowledge using Place Value Basketball!
Our next linked activity to the story of Jack and the Beanstalk was to imagine the beanstalk was in our garden. What would the giant see? Look at our amazing aerial plans!
Our maths focus continues to be on number and place value, specifically thinking about 1 more and 1 less.
Other home learning activities have included learning to tell the time, labelling parts of the human body, blossom art, practising our word of the week and fantastic phonics!
This week we have also been thinking of questions we could ask a character from the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, using adjectives to describe a character and writing sentences using the graphemes or, au and aw!
We have also been learning some great skills such as sewing, cooking, carpentry and tending to our growing plants
Take a look at this amazing fairy garden and the wonderful beanstalks we have been busy creating!
