2020-2021 Summer: Fee Fi Fo Fum!
This term in Godfrey class we will be learning about different version of the well known fairy tale of Jack and the Beanstalk, we will then create our own stories which has a giant as a character. We will be learning about giants and discovering what a giant would be able to see from above with looking at aerial views of the surrounding area. We will discover what the surrounding area looks like from this perspective.
With looking at giants we will also discover the history behind this story and compare it with a well known giant story of the fens - Tom Hickthrift.
We will also have the opportunity to grow our very own beanstalk and discover types of plants and how we look after them to make them grow. We will also look at wild and garden plants, along with trees.
In Godfrey class we will become creative and artists to create pieces based on giants and Jack and the beanstalk, along with looking at the famous artist Vincent Van Gogh, where we will recreate some of his work on plants. Look out for our creations.
We will be learning through play based activities, so keep an eye out for what we have been up to.
Also wait until you see the classroom, it may have changed recently.
