During this term the children will be learning about World War II. They will use their prior knowledge of World War I to look deeper into the cause and effect of the war.
During the term they will look at how, when and why the war started. The children will look deeper into what it was like to live during this time, both in Britain and in Germany. The children will learn more about key figures during WW2 (such as Neville Chamberlain, Winston Churchill and Adolf Hitler) and key events (such as the Holocaust). We will also consider what led to the end of WW2 and the lasting impacts on Britain.
As we make our journey through the topic, we will also make links to other areas of the curriculum, such as World War 1.
