This week the children are looking at the story The Tiger who came to Tea.
The children have enjoyed making tiger masks, acting out the story and having breakfast with the Tiger!
The children have also been enjoying the sunshine!
Our Maths focus was to look for numbers in the environment.
Did you find your age?
Did you find your grown ups age? (sh! don't tell anyone) What other numbers did you find ?
What do you think the Tiger would like to have for tea at your house?
What is your favourite food? Can you make a list of your favourite foods?
Look at our Mini Gardens.
We have been keeping up with our Phonics while we are all at home.
Do you enjoy playing with water?
Have a look for different size containers, which holds the most water?
How many spoons does it take to fill up the container?
🌈 Our Pebble Pathway of Hope 🌈
At school, some of the children and staff have started a 'Pebble Pathway of Hope' and we would love for you to get involved too!
Begin by finding a pebble or stone to decorate in any way that you like. You can paint it, use felt tips or whatever you like to turn it into something or to write a message of hope on it.
Once you have done this, go for a walk to school and add to our 'Pebble Pathway of Hope' located at the front of the school, remember not to remove any of the stones
Lets get busy!
H.Mc has got some caterpillars and is waiting for them to make a chrysalis and grow into butterflies. We will look forward to seeing how they are changing.
Write someone a letter.
This week we are thinking about the people we are missing.
We have written postcards to our friends and families and told them how much we are missing them.
ur, ur, churn the curd
We are looking at addition this week and doubling.
O.W. has been measuring objects that he found in his house.
This week in phonics we have been revisiting the sounds ow, oi, and or
This year we are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the end of World War Two.
Usually this is marked with street parties and people dress in red, white and blue.
We have made bunting and copied the union flag to decorate our homes.
We have made cakes for the party!
This week we are looking at subtraction.
We played a game with a dice and some bricks. We had to take it in turns to roll the dice and subtract that number.
Who was the winner in your family?
This week we have been making paint using natural materials, designing a character for our Alien story, learning some British Sign Language and so much more!
An inviting bug hotel! Look how the caterpillars have grown. What is happening to them now?
Andy the Alien goes in a rocket!
Let's get physical!
We have been keeping our bodies busy as well as our brains.
Gardening is great exercise and good for your wellbeing.
How tall do you think B.'s Sunflowers will grow?
Summer Term 2
Natural paint brushes. We have been finding things in our garden such as leaves, flowers and feathers. We then attached them to sticks and used them as paint brushes.
We enjoy getting busy in the garden and going for daily walks or bike rides.
