Welcome to a brand-new term in Awdry Class! We hope you are all ready to explore with us...

This term, the children are going to be exploring many different topics and immersing themselves in new knowledge. In history, we will be learning about the events of The Cold War and how the history of Human Rights have changed in Britain. Geography will see us delving into the continent of Africa and then discussing globalisation and its effects on the world.  Art will take us on a journey through Impressionism and Post-Impressionism, as well as the work of modernist artists such as Picasso. In science we will deepen our understanding of reproduction and evolution and RE will see us discussing the resurrection and Humanism. 

Take some time to look at our curriculum overview to get a more detailed idea of the knowledge the children will be acquiring this term. 

Also, do not forget to download the homework menu which explains your choice of homework tasks for the summer term. This homework is in addition to reading.
